Have you been putting off that beach vacation because you think it’s too costly? Many people are ruling out the possibility of a nice vacation due to the hype about the current state of the economy—but it doesn’t have to be that way for everyone! As people are traveling less and less, travel agencies are suffering. In order to get business in, they are offering some really great deals that are definitely worth taking a look at. A stay at one of the many all inclusive beach resorts in the United States doesn’t have to be a thousand dollar ordeal.
The fact is, all inclusive vacations usually end up saving people money in the long run. If you were to book your accommodation several miles away from the activities you’re going to participate in most, you could spend quite a lot of money just traveling to and from your hotel. Instead, you could book a stay at a beach resort and be within walking distance to restaurants, bars, beach activities and rentals (jet skis, surf boards, sailing excursions, etc), golf courses, and much more. There is the added convenience of making reservations and excursion bookings when everything is managed by one company. In fact, you could probably book most of your activities at the same time that you book your accommodation so that you can schedule your activities in advance.
It is also likely that by booking a hotel room on a resort, you could receive discounted prices for the activities offered there, rather than paying “a la carte” for individual activities around the area. If you are having trouble deciding what you would like to do, ask the front desk or activities coordinator, if they have one, what the resort has to offer and inquire about a schedule and pricing list. This can be a huge benefit in squeezing in as much as possible on your trip.
If the particular resort you choose to stay at is rather large, you’ll likely find that they run a shuttle service to transport guests all around the resort. If you’re flying in to a nearby airport, they will likely also have a shuttle from the airport available upon request, but it might require an additional fee.
When you’re searching a resort at a modest price, try looking online at many of the popular travel companies’ websites. As we mentioned on the main page, there are tons of sites that have a “deals” or “specials” section on the site. Many of these deals are excellent, but have a condition that you must book during a certain time of the year. So, it really does pay off to be a bit flexible.
